Run Ckd

Ckd is pre-release software. You’ll need to download the source and run it in a Terminal until we get around to making an app.

Don’t worry, it should be extremely easy! 🤞

Step 1: Dependencies

  • Elixir
  • Node.js
    • Yarn (npm install --global yarn)
    • Lerna (npm install --global lerna)

Step 2: Clone Ckd

  • Run git clone git@github.com:stackd/ckd.git
  • cd (change directories) into the folder containing Ckd.
    • cd ckd

Step 3: Run Ckd

Once you’re in the ckd directory:

  • Run mix setup (if running for first time)
  • Run MIX_ENV=prod mix phx.server

Step 4: Open Ckd

There’s no place like localhost:1818

Note: Ckd uses a self-signed SSL certificate, which may display warnings depending on your browser.

  • When using Google Chrome, open chrome://flags/#allow-insecure-localhost to enable the use of self-signed certificates on `localhost`.
  • Another option is adding the certificate in priv/cert/ to your keychain. This should work for Safari, Chrome, etc.
